Job Description – Office
Manager and Bookkeeper
ACCION, U.S. Network
ACCION, a global leader in microfinance leader, seeks an
Office Manager and Bookkeeper for the U.S. Network, the largest microfinance
network in the United States. The manager will be responsible for balancing the
office’s books and maintaining financial reports and records, and coordinating
office schedules and activities for a staff of approximately five.
About the position:
·
Book and manage travel arrangements and
schedules
·
Develop and maintain procedures and policies for
office activities such as filing, records maintenance, mailing, and supply
purchases
·
Responsible for maintenance of office space,
including coordinating with IT manager and maintenance
·
Manage team calendar and assist with meeting
scheduling
·
Organize and file staff expenses
·
Assist with other office tasks as needed
·
Sets-up, processes, and maintains financial
transactions according to organizational policy
·
Balance books and completes monthly reports
·
Performs accounts payable functions
About You:
·
You have knowledge of Quickbooks and Microsoft
Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
·
You can communicate effectively both verbally
and in writing
·
You are a natural problem solver who does what
it takes to make things happen
·
You are able to organize, use good judgment,
prioritize, and meet deadlines
·
You are a fast and willing learner
·
You are detail-oriented
Position Requirements:

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
·

Job Description – Bilingual
Marketing and Events Manager
ACCION, U.S. Network
ACCION, a global leader in microfinance leader, seeks a
Bilingual Marketing and Events Manager for the U.S. Network, the largest
microfinance network in the United States. The manager will be responsible for
developing a small business training and coaching event strategy in
coordination with ACCION national funding and outreach partners. Key markets
include New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Denver, and Chicago and events/marketing
strategy will target low-to-moderate income small business owners. In addition,
the manger will be an active member of ACCION’s U.S. Network team and will
support the launch of a new global brand and consumer marketing campaign.
About the position:
·
Create event plans and schedules to ensure that
all event logistics are properly scheduled and budgeted
·
Coordinate all event logistics including venue,
vendors, marketing, registration, speakers, etc.
·
Work with and national partner to ensure that
event strategy aligns with partnership deliverables and event goals
·
Develop strategies to drive event attendance and
recruit event speakers/coaches/panelists including local partnerships, media
and press, grassroots marketing, online, etc.
·
Develop strategies to connect event attendees to
ACCION loan consultants
·
Work with marketing and fundraising staff on
general partnership strategy and roll-out
·
Complete basic design projects, as related to
events as well as general marketing, such as photo editing, email newsletter
creation, flyer, creation, template updates, etc.
·
Coordinate aspects of production of a branded
ACCION sales kit in English and Spanish. Tasks will include basic writing
tasks, managing design and print vendors, coordinating customization and other
production logistics with network members, and translations.
·
Contribute to the development of a new ACCION U.S.
Network online marketing strategy by writing and creating content, managing
aspects of the production process, and maintaining websites and social media
presences post-launch
About You:

You have an eye for design and can complete
basic design tasks using Photoshop, InDesign, Word and Publisher
·
You are an exceptional writer and can adapt
messages and writing style for a variety of audiences (customers, funders) and
mediums (print, online)
·
You are a logistics guru with exceptional
organizational skills, attention to detail, and previous event experience
·
You thrive when managing multiple tasks and
working under tight deadlines
·
You are a natural problem solver who does what
it takes to make things happen
·
You are independent and proactive
·
You are pursuing a career in microfinance or
microenterprise development and have experience working with diverse small
businesses
